CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

From restorative Yin classes to energetic and Blissful Flow classes, head over to my booking system to choose from one of the classes below to either soften your edges, clear the cobwebs or harness your true potential.

Blissful Flow Yoga:

This is a great class for those who want the benefits of moving their body and getting rid of any built up toxins from the day. Like a Vinyasa class, each movement is synchronized with breath.  Expect this class to include traditional asana (poses) and sequences: sun salutations, standing poses, seated poses, backbends and an opportunity to learn/practice inversions.  It is also a great class if you are looking to settle your nervous system or get a really good night’s sleep. In this class, you will open and stretch your muscles with slow movement, careful alignment, and conscious breath work. Open to all experience levels (even beginners!) and individual modifications will be available at classes. These classes take place on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm from Rise up Dance and Yoga Studio, above Shoreline Bray Gym on The Southern Cross in Bray and at 9.45am on Friday’s from the Yoga Barre Studio in Kilcoole.

Sweet Surrender Yin:

A Yin Yoga class usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body—the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer.  This intimate practice of yoga requires students to be ready to get intimate with the self, with feelings, sensations, and emotions, something of which I have noticed can be easy to avoid in a fast paced yang yoga practice. Yin yoga is often used in programs that deal with addictions, eating disorders, anxiety and deep pain or trauma. It won’t be easy or lazy, just slow, thoughtful, and grounding. .

Workshops:

I am committed to broadening students’ experience of yoga by offering monthly half day retreats whether it be Yoga and SoulSista chats over homemade yummy plant based desserts and cuppas, Yoga and Hiking in the great outdoors, a vegetarian lunch, sauna and sea swim, or simply Yoga and Meditation candlelit bedtime practices.

Workshops and retreats offer a unique opportunity to establish a deeper connection with your yoga practice. This can take more time than an hour long yoga class and often we delve deeper into the poses and break them down into finer details. This helped me in the past to explore my practice in a deeper way. Workshops for now will take place on a Sunday of every month from 9.15 - 3.30pm in various locations around Wicklow. All can be booked through here.

Private Consultations:

Private classes take place in our beautiful Seomra in Bray. One-to-one yoga classes have a different intensity to group sessions, and they offer a chance to go deeper into the practice of yoga and meditation. Maybe you don’t have the time to get to a class, maybe you are heavily pregnant and want the individual support or maybe you need some emotional support along with your yoga practice to deal with blocks/obstacles in your way? As an Eating disorder recoveree, Lifecoach and Eating Disorder Recovery Coach (Diploma in Personal and Business Coaching with the Irish Lifecoach Institute), I can support you in the recovery of your body and mind through yoga, pranayama and life enhancing tips. Private classes enable me to focus even further on alignment and what is right for your particular body and mind.

Private Pregnancy Consultations:

As a Mother I can honestly say that my dedicated Yoga and Meditation practice have given me 3 incredibly healthy pregnancies and beautifully extended breastfeeding journeys. Private prenatal classes with me will give you that sense of release where you can safely move your body and confidentially speak of your fears and anxieties, knowing that I am there to support you as best I can on your journey to being the incredible Mother that you were born to be!! These classes will prepare you for each new trimester, for childbirth and for Motherhood and will give you a powerful connection to that beautiful bubs inside. Prenatal yoga can be taken up from 14 weeks until birth.
